Living History On the Ridge

Encampment located on western side of Seminary Ridge, near the barricade.

Experience Civil War history up close as reenactors from the 53rd Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, Co. C gather at Seminary Ridge Museum and Education Center for engaging living history demonstrations. Witness a demonstration of period firearms being fired and step into the world of Civil War medicine during an authentic surgeon’s presentation. Learn about the equipment, techniques, and experiences of soldiers and medical personnel during the Battle of Gettysburg.
